The first piece of the mystery sculpt. I will show new parts during the week leading up to the big reveal. Hmmmm, what could this be? Maybe it’s a worm? Maybe it’s the small intestine? This sculpt is done in Sulphur Free Chavant Clay. NSP (Non Sulphurated Plasteline) I still haven’t done the big switch to wax. I work with wax for smaller parts, but haven’t yet made an entire figure. I think I’ll document my first stumbling attempts when I do. The Chavant gives me all the flexibility I need, fast melt time, and when it's cold a nice hard sculpting surface. I can torch and freeze the clay to get really smooth, even glossy surfaces.
